DEGREE PROGRAMMES
The University of London was established in 1836
and has a worldwide reputation for degree programmes
and research of the highest quality. It is a federation
of 19 colleges including London
School of Economics, UCL, Kings and Imperial.
It offers a wide range of degree programmes
which can be taken without actually attending
colleges of the University of London. Students
on these external degree programmes are assessed
on the
same basis as internal students, and the degree
they receive is of the same standard. This is
stated clearly in the charter: "Candidates
granted degrees and other awards shall have attained
the same
academic standard irrespective of mode or place
of study or examination".
Many undergraduate students, particularly from
overseas, find their programmes difficult and
confusing. Sometimes it is not easy to understand
exactly what is expected, and individual advice
is not
easy to obtain. While it is inevitably demanding
to gain a degree from London University we will
give you all the individual attention and help
that you require in order to achieve your potential.
After graduation, students are well placed either
to progress onto a Masters programme or other
professional examinations. Alternatively, the
prestigious University of London degree provides
a strong enhancement to their career prospects.
