| Professional Diploma
in Hospitality Management
This programme is suitable for all students who
wish to enter into the hospitality industry. It
has a balance of modules specifically related
to the hospitality industry and relevant business
management concepts taught within the context
of this industry. It is a one year programme and
offers a combination of theoretical background
and practical skills, preparing students well
for future more advanced studies and for working
within the hospitality industry. The programme
focuses on the global nature of the contemporary
hospitality industry and is therefore ideal for
overseas students.
By the end of the programme, students will have
a secure knowledge of business management concepts
and of the main contemporary issues relating to
the hospitality industry. They will also have
a good appreciation of the actual nature of working
in the industry and have developed skills in relating
to work colleagues and clients. On successful
completion of the diploma, students will be able
to progress on to our Higher Diploma in Hospitality
Management or to Year 2 of degree programmes at
a number of universities including London South
Bank University.
